1 chicken cut up or chicken wings
1 1/2 lb fresh okra or frozen
1 fresh tomato chopped
1 large onion
3 tlbs or shortening from that of fried chicken
2 tlbs flour 3 quarts water
salt and pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Cut up chicken, flour salt and pepper (or wings) fry until brown. Fry okra with tomato and onion in shortening Make a roux in heavy skillet with frease from fried chicken and flour. Brown Roux. Add fried chicken and the vegetables. stir for a few minutes add water, salt and pepper to taste. Cook for about two hours
