1 c. sugar
1/2 c. vegetable shortening
1/2 c. vegetable oil
1 egg
1 t. vanilla
2 c. flour
1/2 t. baking soda
1/2 t. salt
1/4 t. cream of tartar

Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugar, shortening, oil, egg and vanilla. Mix dry ingredients and beat into creamed mixture. Chill dough 3 hours or overnight. Roll dough in 1 T. balls, roll in sugar, flatten with glass. Bake 12-14 minutes on ungreased cookie sheet at 350 degrees.
