2/3 c. shortening
2/3 cup butter or margarine
1 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2 pkgs (24oz.) semi-sweet Nestle chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 375. Mix shortening, butter, sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla using mixer. Add flour one cup at a time using mixer. Also add baking soda and salt. Stir in chocolate chips. Drop by rounded tablespoon about 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 10 - 12 minutes or until light brown. Cool slightly. Remove from cookie sheet to wire rack and cool.
