Directions:
Directions:
Gather figs, wash and remove stem. (Careful not to cut to close to flesh as you dont want the fig to come apart). In a wide bottom boiler, add 3 cups water. Put a thick layer of figs in. Cover with a layer of sugar. Repeat process until all ingredients are used. Let stand for several hours until they start to break down. Cook over low heat until the right consistency. Add a few lemon slices as the mixture cooks. Put in canning jars and seal.
