2 medium onions chopped
2 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon flour
4 cups chicken broth
3 cups puree pumpkin
salt and pepper
1/2 cup whipped cream-not sweetened
Dusting of nutmeg

Directions:
Directions:
Over low heat saute the onions in butter in the bottom of a heavy, large saucepan until soft. Sprinkle the flour; stir and cook 2 or 3 minutes. Gradually add the chicken broth and pumpkin puree. Thouroghly cook gently, about 15 inutes. Salt and pepper to taste. Pour into warm bowls and top with a dollop of whipped cream and a dusting of nutmeg.
