"As I ate the oysters with their strong taste of the sea and their faint metallic taste that the cold white wine washed away, leaving only the sea taste and the succulent texture, and as I drank their cold liquid from each shell and washed it down with the crisp taste of the wine, I lost the empty feeling and began to be happy, and to make plans."--Ernest Hemingway

Personal Notes:
Sarah and Robert Houston were a young couple who lived about 3 miles away when I was a child. One day the snow was so deep on the country roads that to get to their house, we had to go by tractor. Sarah always had something good cooking, so her house was a favorite place to go. One of my favorite’s was her Peanut Butter Fudge.
