25 medium cucumbers (sliced thin)
1/2 c. salt
about 8 medium onions
5 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. white mustard seed
1 1/2 Tbsp. tumeric
1 1/2 Tbsp. whole cloves
1 tsp. celery seed
about 3 1/2 c. vinegar

Directions:
Directions:
Slice cucumbers and onion. Mix in 1/2 c. salt. Cover with crushed ice and let set for 3 hours.
Then boil together; sugar, white mustard seed, tumeric, whole cloves, celery seed, and vinegar. Drain cucumbers, add vinegar mixture. Almost bring to boiling point but do NOT boil-Color will leave cucumbers--then put in clean sterile jars.
