3 c. sugar
1 c. crisco
1 stick margarine
1/4 tsp. salt
3 c. flour
2 Tbsp. vanilla
1 c. buttermilk
1/3 tsp. soda
6 eggs

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time and beat 4 minutes. Add sifted dry ingredients. As last steps combine soda and buttermilk and add to creamed mixture. Mix well, then add vanilla. Pour in greased and floured tube pan. Bake 1 hour and 15 minutes at 350.
