1 LOAF FRENCH BREAD
1/2 LB. SOFT BUTTER OR MARGARINE
2 TBSP. GRATED ONION
1 TSP. MUSTARD
2 TSP. LEMON JUICE
1 TBSP. POPPYSEED
1 TSP. BEAU MONDE (OPTIONAL)
1 TSP. CELERY SALT
1 TSP. ONION SALT
SLICED SWISS CHEESE

Directions:
MIX TOGETHER ALL INGREDIENTS EXCEPT BREAD AND CHEESE. SLICE BREAD ALMOST THROUGH TO BOTTOM CRUST, AND SPREAD BUTTER MIXTURE ON BOTH SIDES OF EACH SLICE. PUT ONE-HALF SLICE OF SWISS CHEESE IN EACH SLIT. WRAP IN FOIL. BAKE AT 350 FOR 25-30 MINUTES. MAKES ALMOST 2 LOAVES.
