3 lb. chuck roast
1 can beef consomme'
l package beef au jus
l package dry Italian salad seasoning

Directions:
Directions:
Plop roast in crockpot. Mix all the ingredients and pour them over roast. Cook at least 10 hours. Shred roast. Serve over lightly buttered and toasted hard rolls or French bread.

If desired, top with shredded or sliced Mozzerella or Swiss cheese and broil til cheese is melted. Use the juice and spoon over your open-face sandwich. Outstanding!!

This is one of my family's all time favorite crockpot recipes, shared by one of my friends. Make sure you buy beef consomme and not beef broth - the broth makes it too salty.
