2 lbs ground round, 1 large chopped onion, 1 med green pepper (optional),1 c. ketchup, 1/4 c. prepared mustard, 1/4 c. packed golden brown sugar, 2 tbsn cider vineagar, salt and pepper to taste.

Brown meat and onion, drain well. Add rest of ingredients and simmer for 15 minutes. Taste and correct seasonings. The flavor should be sweet with an underlying vineagery bite. Cover and simmer for at least 45 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve on hamburger or potato rolls.
