4 c. flour                                        
1 1/2 c. margarine (I use butter shortening)
2 c. oats, uncooked                                
1 c. sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon                                
2 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. salt                                        
1 egg
2 tsp. soda                                        
1 tsp. vanilla
1 can solid pack pumpkin (small 15. oz)
1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips


Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Combine flour, oats, soda, cinnamon & salt; set aside. Cream butter gradually, add sugars beating well until light and fluffy.  Add egg & vanilla; mix well.  Add alternate additions of dry ingredients and pumpkin; mixing well.  Stir in morsels.  Drop by 1 tbsp. onto greased cookie sheets.  Spread dough out a little. Bake 10-12 min. until light brown.  About 5 doz.
