6 egg yolks
1/2c cold water
1 1/2c sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp orange or lemon extract
1 1/2 cups sifted cake flour
1/4 tsp salt
6 egg whites
3/4 tsp cream of tartar

Directions:
Directions:
beat egg yolks until thick and lemon colored. add water and continue beatng until very thick. gradually beat in sugar then extract. sift flour with salt "3" (that's right 3) times. fold into egg yolk mixture a little at a time. beat egg whites until foamy, add cream of tartar and beat until they form moist peaks. fold into the first mixture (turning bowl gradually)
bake 1hr. in ungreased tube pan at 325.
