Cookies

2 1/2 cups flour
2 sticks margarine (softened)
3/4 cups of sugar
1 large egg
1 tsp vanilla
Maraschino cherries, drained

Icing

1/2 box powdered sugar
3 tbsp soft margarine
Juice from cherries


Directions:
Directions:
Mix flour, sugar, and margarine until mealy

Blend in egg and vanilla

Roll in balls and flatten by hand.

Press a cherry into the center and wrap the dough around the cherry to cover well.

Place on an ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 350 for 15 to 20 minutes.

Blend icing ingredients together with a mixer until spreading consistency.

Let the cookies cool and frost the tops.
