1/2 c. brown sugar(you may only want to use a 1/4 c. because it tends to get to sweet), 1 c. crushed pineapple (drained), 1/3 c. shortening, 2 eggs(beaten), 2 tsp. baking powder, 1/2 c. milk, 1 c. sugar, 1 3/4 c. flour, 1/8 tsp. salt, 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
I bake this in a old black fry pan. Melt butter in iron fry pan, add brown sugar, stir til smooth. Mix in pineapple. In seperate bowl cream shortening, sugar and eggs. Sift in dry ingredients, add to mixture ,add milk and vanilla. Pour over pineapple in fry pan. Bake at 350 for 40 - 45 min. Turn upside down while warm, Serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
