1 c. flour, 1 c. sugar, 1/2 tsp. salt, 1 tsp. soda, 1 tsp. vanilla, 1 egg, 1/2 tsp. almond flavor extract, 1 med. can fruit cocktail
TOPPING: 1/2 - 1 c. brown sugar , 1/2 c. chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together flour, sugar, salt, and soda. Add vanilla, egg (beaten), and almond extract. Pour 1 can of fruit cocktail, omitting 2 Tbl. juice into batter. Pour into 9x9 greased pan. Sprinkle top with 1/2 - 1 c. brown sugar and some chopped nuts if desired. Bake 1 hour (maybe less) at 350. Serve with whipped cream or ice cream
