1 c. brown sugar, 1 c. sugar, 1 c. shortening, 2 c. quick oats, 2 eggs, 2 - 21/2 c. flour, 1 tsp. soda, 1/2 tsp. nutmeg, 1 tsp. cinnamon, salt, 1 1/2 ground raisins, 1/2 c. chopped nuts

Directions:

Cream sugars and shortening. Add eggs. Add dry ingredients. Chill. Roll into balls and place on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350, watch carefully for they will burn very easily.
