1 c. brown sugar, 2 eggs, 1/2 tsp. soda, 1 2/3 c. flour, 1 c. butter, 1 tsp. salt, 2 c. oatmeal
FILLING: 1 c. sugar, 1/2 lb. cut up dates, 1 c. water

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and beat well, add oatmeal and sift dry ingredients. Roll thin and bake. Cook filling until thick. Spread on one cookie and top it with another cookie.
