1/2 c. butter, 1 c. sugar, 3 eggs, 5 Tbl. cold water, 1 tsp. soda, dissolved in 1 tsp. hot water, 3 heaping c. of flour, 1 tsp. cinnamon, 1/2 tsp. cloves, 1 c. chopped walnuts,1 c. raisins

Mix ingredients in the order they are given. Drop by spoonfulls onto greased pan. Bake.
