1 c. shortening, 1 c. brown sugar, 2 eggs, 9 Tbl. liquid from raisins, 2 c. oatmeal, 1 tsp. vanilla, 1/2 c. chopped nuts, 1 tsp. salt, 1 tsp. soda, 1 c. raisins

Directions:
Directions:
Boil raisins in water to barely cover for 5 min. Cream shotening and sugar, add beaten eggs and liquid. Add soda dissolved in 2 Tbl. hot water, oatmeal, flour, raisins, nuts salt, and vanilla. Bake on greased baking sheet at 350
